June 27, 2016, the company MIS Implants Technologies announced a share purchase agreement with the company Dentsply Sirona.

As a result of negotiations between the companies, MIS Implants Technologies sold 100 percent shares. The amount of the transaction is $ 375 million. The contract provides for the preservation of the brand and the organization of MIS on all global markets. The management of the company and people responsible for guiding company's strategy remain unchanged.


MIS Implants Launches The Radically New V3 Dental Implant For Immediate Biological Benefits

"It's all in the shape", says Elad Ginat, Product Manager at MIS Implants. "The unique triangular shape of the coronal portion of the new V3 Implant enables a significant gain of bone and soft tissue volume where it matters most - so less titanium and more bone and soft tissue are available.”

Implant design can have a profound influence on the success of the osseointegration processes that unites bone to an implant surface. The unique triangular-shape of the V3 implant’s coronal portion has been designed to encourage bone regeneration and the gain of greater volume of bone in support of stable surrounding soft tissues for more esthetic restorations.

The triangular neck of the V3 provides solid anchorage at three points in the crestal zone while forming three compression-free gaps at the sides; between the implant and the osteotomy. This design is aimed at high primary stability and the reduction of bone compression and crestal bone resorption; favored conditions for increased osseointegration.

Elad explains that the compression-free gaps at the neck of the V3 encourage blot clot formation at the bone-implant interface, which promotes the initial scaffold-building process for bone growth. The gaps allow more space for blood pooling and the establishment of a stable blood clot. In this way, the V3 provides doctors with a more advantageous starting point; where greater volume of bone and soft tissue is achieved at the onset of implant placement.

The new V3 Implant is the result of an intensive two-year R&D process by MIS, along with their development partners: Prof. Nitzan Bichacho, Dr. Eric Van-Dooren and Dr. Yuval Jacoby. Elad mentions additional design features apart from the unique triangular neck shape, stating that the V3 is a high performance conical-connection implant with platform switching, a variable thread and self-tapping capability, micro-rings, a concave inter-thread for maximum BIC, and a flat apex supporting immediate placement engagement.

“Doctors can enjoy all these impressive V3 design benefits without having to learn new protocols” says Elad. He further explains that V3 protocols are the same as with most other dental implants doctors are already familiar with, and that a dedicated V3 surgical kit makes procedures especially simple, safe and accurate; resulting in ease of placement for the dentist and shorter recovery time for patients.

 Used following oral surgical procedures to control bleeding, stabilize blood clots and aid in wound healing. They are engineered from highly purified cross-linked type I bovine collagen with an optimal structure and thickness to allow the absorption of both fluid and blood at the defect site.

These sterile dental wound dressings are engineered from bovine Type I collagen. They protect the oral wound bed and controlling bleeding due the hemostatic properties of collagen fibers. Both the PLUG and TAPE are fully resorbed within 10-14 days.
